Yep, positioned the boot a little higher so you couldn't see it. ;)

Get directions from TWM's website it helped me. Shifter comes with an aluminium pin + a c-clip to replace the plastic pin you knockout with a screwdriver. I just removed the 2 top plastic pieces removed the shifter so I could work on it inside.(It was like 95* that day) Just be careful with the clips for the shifter cables. Remove 4 bolts then use a screwdriver to gently pry in the slot on the clip so it can raise slightly to release the cable. The rest is easy with TWM's directions. You will need some white grease and a ziptie. Use the ziptie to hold your shift boot up. You can ziptie the boot to the RLO so it doesn't flop around.

I would Email before the shifter gets shipped if you do not like the purpe RLO.

Yes the stock boot is zip-tied to the lower part of OEM knob. I just zip-tied it to the RLO.

SSBOOST 09-03-2007 02:08 PM

Darn so I guess I didn't need to buy the JDM boot.

It looks better than OEM and only $12. But it kind of pisses me off how Ebay sellers calls EVERYTHING JDM. Looks like a nice boot but not real JDM. Did you get blue or red?

SSBOOST 09-03-2007 05:28 PM

red.

joeworkstoohard 09-03-2007 05:39 PM

I have heasrd that a cavi shifter will fit, but they are not any cheaper.
