2.2 sc numbers too low?

by the looks of things my numbers are a bit lower than everybody elses. what could be hurting my numbers?

MODS:
m62 w/3.0 pulley
zzp 3in intake
badmab header
zzp 2.5in downpipe
gmpp touring exhaust
zzp s3 heat exchanger
60# injectors
trifecta tune

and i have an auto tranny. think its just a conservative tune?

Shitty tune. A HP tune would get you going a lot better. Even with trifecta though you should be at least 220. MP81 was 220 before an exhaust even.

tune? lol Im about to add a zzp dp when they actually ship it out to me -_- but I hope my numbers arent that low :/

Bump

Maybe cause cause your auto? I've heard autos dyno lower than manual but not sure if it's true

Twoozofjuice 05-22-2012 12:23 PM

would your dp have any effect? on zzps site it says 2.5s are mainly for na and 3 going to 2.5 are great for sc but I dont really know if it has much effect on the overall performance

No.

I run a 2.5" downpipe on my car, and it is the optimal size for my setup (275whp on pump gas, 285whp on race gas).

ZZP, has that disclaimer so N/A 2.2L & 2.4L guys don't go install a 3" downpipe on their cars.

Auto will have a little lower power to the wheels than a manual.

OP, I don't think your numbers are bad at all. Don't get caught up on dyno numbers.

You can go to a different dyno, and end up with totally different results.

drumrush 05-22-2012 03:37 PM

bika barely broke 300whp on this dyno

Naw either size will work, zzp did put that the 3in is intended fot the sc, and me and staged have disargeed about this before but we both can agree that either size works. So if u went woth the 3 u are golden juat dont go 3" catback unless u go turbo.

This is the most important thing to take away from this. Your numbers aren't too bad.

You can try to go with the 3 inch DP, but you shouuld be fine with the 2.5, so stop stressing the DP...

If you are trifecta tuned, have you sent vince any data logs?

Right we have....

but that disclaimer is still not clear to everyone.

The 3" is mentioned to be intended for blown cars, because a 3" downpipe on a N/A car is not neccessary. That's what that disclaimer is for. It's not telling you if you are supercharged you should by the 3" downpipe. It's letting N/A guys know they should buy the 2.5" downpipe.

but yes, both downpipes will work fine for blown cars.
