not happy with my dyno numbers

So this past weekend I got my car dyno tuned by a friend of mine that has hp tuners. I have 2.8 pulley, 60s, intake, zzp header dp combo and gmpp performance exhaust also have ottp heatexchanger and only put down 238whp on the dyno and am pretty disappointed. Does that seem right or should I putting down higher numbers?

Can you post the dyno? What is the AFR? Timing? IAT's? Did hey use a fan or not on the h/e during the dyno?

Go to a track and run your car... Dyno's are a tool used for tuning and they will all read very differently.

All dyno numbers are is a computer generated printout of what the calculated output of your car would be given inputted variables. Not every computer will be calibrated the same way...

should be higher but getting upset about a number that will change from place to place to condition to condition is pretty stupid....

I have been to the track when the car was stock and ran a 15.6 it was my first time running at the strip but could keep it from spinning in first and second. And I know its just a number and it is stupid but I was just hope for more. And yes he used a fan the whole time.

Either way, No reason to dwell... are you happy with how your car is running? Don't let a number get you down.

I would not worry about it. First time at the track is a little rough, i would just sit at the line and go when your ready. You dont have to go on green since your reaction time wont impact your time.

Definately need to find out what kind of dyno you were on since it could impact your numbers.

I have the parts in my signature and was just on the dyno last week. Without the zzp downpipe i put down 244/225 and was on a DynoJet.

I'm pretty happy with the way the car is running it seems to load up on fuel though when starting off not sure what that's all about but I'm going to island dragway this weekend so hopefully be putting down a nice time with the new stuff on the car.

You should go to englishtown instead this weekend. Few friends of mine are going and i will be going to get a few logs with hptuners going down the track.

I actually use to live in emmaus, Graduated from Emmaus in 98.

You should be doing more man. And although everyone says dont worry about the number, it sure is nice to know that your work and money has paid off, ya ya the track says that too but some people just like to know power levels right.

Seems like you're looking at #s comparable to a STOCK TC..not bad.
Tell ya what. Go run it in a 3rd gear test...60-90 or 60-100.
High 5s on the first and high 7s and the second would be in SS/TC STOCK territory.
