you drop pulleys yet? If you put a 2.7 or 2.6 on there I don't see you not doing it, unless you are still on the stock exhaust... then you will be out flowing it.

I now have a full 2.5 cat back and magnaflow muffler... I want to get a 2.7" and see how well it does to decide if I want to use my 2.6.

After tires and brakes I'll be able to afford meth injection for cooling and I'll pulley down then

Your gonna run meth and E85?

Meth alone would never give me the consistent octane and reliability of ethanol

It is however, the most effective means of cooling...

I agree on the E > meth for octane. You could prolly just run a small nozzle with distilled water for cooling, or a small mix of meth since you wont need any more octane lol

True.

Maybe better at cooling the Intake Manifold but that is it.

I think E85 is the best cooling mod to run on a SC'd engine. But E85 does not produce as low of IAT2s as say Meth injection. Does that make meth injection better?

IAT2s are measure by the MAP sensor located on the top left side of the IM. When you spray meth injection it is sprayed into the SC and through the IM. Its safe to say that the vapors from the Meth Injection pass by the MAP sensors effecting is IAT2s temps. That is why IAT2s are lower.

As you know, it takes approximately 30% more fuel by volume to run E85 vs premium fuel. The additional octane and additional fuel is what makes E85 far superior as a cooling mod.

Running meth injection requires the removal of fuel and I would guess that the overall volume of fuel/water/meth is not 30% more then running premium fuel alone.

Soooo.

E85 gets sprayed directly into the head were it mixes with the charged air and enters the combustion chamber.

Meth injection gets sprayed into the SC, flows through the IM into the head where it mixes with the fuel and then enters the combustion chamber.

So running E85 will not have as big of an effect on IAT2s as Meth injection.

The only way to get a real comparison of the cooling effects of E85 vs is Meth injection is to look at EGTs.

Having said everything I said above I have considered running a small nozzle on basic <1% windshield washer fluid just to keep the blower cold. Its a neat feeling to touch a cold blower after back to back WOT runs.

I always loved doing pulls or a run at the track on meth and feeling the blower be as cold as it was when you first started it that morning!

6. boosted4dr 321whp, 335wtq Verified WinDyn, GMS1, IC, DP, CP, AM GRAPH

So...

I just killed a 09 GMS1 SS/TC

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/war-stories-54/06-e85-ion-redline-vs-09-gms1-cobalt-ss-tc-216128/

Does that mean that a 300whp, 270wtq LSJ is faster then a 321whp, 335wtq SS/TC? Or are the GMS1 number in this thread a little inflated for some reason.

I guy I beat had GMS1, Cat-back, K&N Drop in Filter.

Okay. Most people say GMS1 is good for about 280 to the wheels. But I don't see anything to back that up in this thread so I had to ask. Has anyone dyno'd it?

I'd rather not dirty up this thread with that discussion. But I will answer your question in the Kill thread!

A kill yes but he made it seem like he put a couple cars on the ss/tc. I wouldnt call a 1/2 car killing someone. Id really like to see them run again with the lnf using nls. Bet the lnf wins by a half car. Either way good job ebristol
