09cobaltss1 they arent as bad as they look, i think his AFR reader was bad, because on my scan gauges its much more stable than that reads, he was just using a sniffer to get the AFR idk if thats normal or not. but its much much more stable than that shows.

Tailpipe sniffers arent very accurate... so if your wideband shows an ok afr, I'm sure you're fine.

When you say scan gauge, is this a graphed curve or just glancing over by eye in the middle of a pull? Also, do you have an independent wideband or are you basing this off of the on-board lambda sensor? The on-board sensor is generally good, but just bare in mind, they can and do fail periodically. Yes, I've seen them have issues. Either way, I'd find a way to graph your afr curve vs your trims and see how they look just to be certain everything is in check.

True, they tend to read lean, but they'll at least read consistently lean. Generally they're within 3-5 tenths of your actual afr curve, not all over the place like what his chart is showing. Granted, the sniffer could clearly be off, but god help anyone getting a dyno tune relying on data readings from that thing. lol

Well heres an update of what I've been up to the last couple of nights. I'll update this graph when I get my dyno load control fixed so I can load it up to spool more like the street instead of in inertia mode where it hits 30+ lbs by right before 6k. Numbers won't be affected though. I also need more WG pressure since it falls from 34 psi to around 32, but even so you can tell the turbo is just starting to fall out of its efficiency range with the small .55 AR hotside. I'll make a thread in a couple days with lots of pulls on different boost levels so you can see the progression and curve changes as I turned boost up. Another cool note is that last year on the Dynojet at MAP in MN on 23 lbs I made 508whp running out of fuel at 7300, and two nights ago on the same boost and a full pull I made 512 whp, so its really consistent.

So now for the goods

wow that is truly impressive man. Have you tried 34psi on the street? Does it get pretty good grip or is it spin city? I am also jelly of your dyno purchase btw

I've only done 34 lbs on the street once when my old 1200's were maxed out, but did a few 32 psi pulls. 3rd always hooks as long as the weather is decent and tires aren't cold. 2nd spins but you pedal it and it still pulls hard before shifting to 3rd and hooking. I'm still pretty surprised that the car kept making good gains as I turned the boost up that high. I never expected to make this kind of power. 27 lbs made 565whp to give you a reference on what gains I saw, and 30 made 604whp.

Lol no plans to change up the setup. Just hold more boost up top with some load and flatten the power curve and drive it. Maybe push it a couple more lbs for a glory pull, but nothing major.

Thanks guys! I made over 35 pulls on the dyno from 17 psi all the way up to 34 over the course of 3 days and the car just took it like a champ Didn't even burn a drop of oil. Most of them were 4th gear pulls.

I did the other night. I left the stock catback hooked up and it has a 2.5" catted dp. As it sits it made 292whp. I will unbolt the catback one day soon and do a few pulls, and if needed I'll try a different downpipe off another LSJ on there if it fits. I have no doubts it can make 300whp.
