2007 Cobalt SS NA - Radio not turning on and no turn signal noise? Help please!

Hey guys i'm new to the forum,

As the title says my 07 Balt is having some issues, the radio is not turning on, or displaying the time, and also the turn signal noise is silent, and there is also no dinging when the e-brake is engaged (That one i don't mind )

But has this happened to anyone else? If anyone can help me id greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Shaun

Well maybe check the fuse for the radio and the radio controls the chimes of the car thats the reason you dont get any sound

My OEM radio works but I have no chimes or signal sound. U guys think this means the previous owner had an aftermarket HU and just put back in the stock one before selling?

If he had an aftermarket radio it wouldnt make a difference. Once the oem radio is back everything should work again the way it should unless maybe your speaker isnt working properly i had that problem on my other balt

does the front left speaker work? fade it to the front and balance to the left so only that one plays

So what does it mean? I might as well not buy the adapter since I've had no chimes for over 2 years.

chimes come out of the left front speaker. so you would need to replace that if you wanted any possibility of chimes

Understood. I have a spare pioneer double din. If I hook that up without the adapter will that left speaker play?

Lol thats what i said in my post maybe i should of put check your left speaker instead haha but glad you found it.

And if you install the aftermarket radio you will need a module and that will give you the chimes but still your speaker wont work so sound will probably not be the best

You said only the front tweeter is working right? If so then that pretty much tells you its the speaker itself. If not then theres a slight chance that changing the HU would fix the issue but probably not.

What adapter are you trying not to use?
