7" HU stolen out of my car at school today

7" in dash got stolen out of my car today, seems as if they took a screw driver and literally stabbed it through my door underneath the lock to get into my car, and the alarm obviosly didn't go off. There was a student that saw a black kia parked next to my car with a dude that looked like he was picking up a wallet next to my car, so he wrote down the plates and the make of the car but the cops scanner didnt show any matching cars with the plates. Also there is a security camera right next to my car so I am hoping that my school got some good footage of the freaking hooligans that did this to my car.

they didnt take my ps2 outta the glove box, which was open or my 150 dollar okleys that they left on the floor.

GO STLOUIS!!!!!!! NOT!

I wonder how much my insurance is going to give me.

Yeah I've really considered that, but I need something that can make the hourly commute everyday, and I wonder if my windows were tinted dark enough so that they couldnt see inside if that may have helped my situation a bit. I'm thinking about getting a viper alarm system put on my car exp since I will be more that likely working in this POS town.

That is exactly the kind of HU i will be buying next, but do they make double dins with removable face plates?

Also GM wants $1000 to fix my door. I am better off buying a door of a wrecked cobalt.

Yeah Sadly my car was 5 feet shy of being on the security camera, and I haven't heard anything from the head of security about seeing the suspected car on camera he was supposed to call me today when he reviewed the tapes. My dad says he wants me to buy a broken double din put it in there and leave my car unlocked in the same spot and wait for them to come back and catch them in the act and when i see them get in my car Im gonna shut the ******* door on their ass and have the cops come beat him with their stick.

That is really shitty. Insurance should pay for the door but probably not the aftermarket HU. I guess it depends on who your insurance company is. I've got a Viper alarm in my car and it is a pos. It is a better one too with the two way paging but I have problems with and it was installed at the dealer. Get a Compustar alarm if you really want to get one. I had one in my Subaru and I never had any problems with it plus it is the only remote start designed to work with a manual trans. If you have any questions about alarms or anything send me a pm.

Yeah the head unit isnt really a big deal to me, I would have rather just left my car unlocked so he didnt have to ******* stab it with a screw driver.
