Aftermarket head unit wiring

Aftermarket head unit draining battery....

Need help. I recently acquired a 2009 Cobalt LS and the radio and front speakers were shot. I replaced the radio with a BOSS BCPA9 and used a METRA GM29-SWC harness to plug into factory harness. Everything operates but head unit will not power down. I know there is a 10 minute time delay but it stays on forever and kills my battery. I attached pictures of the wire diagram for harness and radio plug. All colors matched based on descriptions. I was thinking about switching constant power wires with accessory power wires to see if that would work but started finding threads of alternate power sources people were using for radio to turn off with the key.

Also, the Metra harness has a green interface box that I have not programmed yet because I am installing radio buttons on my steering wheel tomorrow. Not sure if not programming the interface could be a cause? Need some help to keep my battery alive and get radio operating as it should.
