anyone have a pioneer app radio deck?
friend of mine is looking to get rid of his pioneer app radio head unit as it doesnt work with the iphone 5. its an avh-p8400bh, and its not very old. it looks like a cool piece, but seems kinda complex to use. i know this was one of the first pioneer app radio decks and had a few glitchy things. anyone have any experience/thoughts/opinions on the pioneer app radio stuff
anything is going to be a huge improvement over my poineer deh-p940mp (for those that know, yes i have a deck that pre-dates the release of the cobalt). it was a wicked deck in its day, still better than a lot of stuff today sound quality and feature wise (triple 6v pre-outs anyone?), but its getting old and lacks good usb and i-stuff control

what do you want to know?
I had one. Loved it but sold it because cash was more important and I dont feel like putting and aftermarket stereo in my SS.
personally I love pioneer and its all I buy when it comes to head units, never had any issues with mine. used pandora allllll the time.

I have an AVH-P4300DVD. If you know how to use a smart phone, you can use this.
The current AppRadio's don't worth the iPhone 5, because it doesn't support analog iPod out. He should just keep it and wait for Pioneer to come out with a cable solution, hopefully.
Or if he's selling it to you for cheap and waiting for a new deck to support the iPhone 5 natively, just pick it up.

my friends a product rep dealing with home theater and car audio, so he is always got his hands on the next big thing to "test out". he just put in a very expensive audio processor and may be going to a new ipad mini to run the whole thing. along with the deck im getting a 32gb iphone 4, be a good upgrade from my dying 3gs.

I have the avh-p4400bh it's a model below the 8400. Love it had it for like two months now. The blue tooth crystal clear and connects almost as soon as the the car on. And pandora works great. I eve did the brake bypass so I can use the motion x GPS drive app. Will put up pics later
