can factory amp be left unplugged,

can factory amp be left unplugged,

sorry if this addressed .......newbie, and have not been able to find this anywhere

new head unit , amp, all speaker wire new from amp, so dont think need to do amp bypass?
and dont figure should have factory amp powering up........can i unplug amp (or snip and cap off pink wire)

any input greatly app, thanx

yes you can do either. but messing with the amp is a pain in the ass so i would just not connect the pink wire.

you can do that sure. but it would be easier to just not connect the blue wire from the harness new HU harness to the car harness if that make sense.

Just use the HU harness's remote out for your new amp and leave the remote wire from for the car unconnected. then you really don't even have to worry about capping it because no power would be going through anyway (plus why cut your stock wires when you don't have to)
