So I been researching on getting the factory remote start function installedon my 2009 G5. I was looking for information but aapparentlycould not find any legit info on it. I had seen modules for remote start for sale for around $250. I remember seeing them for cobalts but could not find them. I know it is possible because there are people doing it for their silverados. So any info on it would be appreciated, or anything leading to info on it. I woupd ask the dealer but I know the "techs" working there are really just normal mechanics that change and replace parts not knowing how they work

I guess ill call and ask. I was just wondering if anyone had done it here before. I was reading for the mk6 GTIs so easy to install and get the oem parts needed for $25 lol, was hoping some one had figured it out.

Also compustar sells this module that supposedly hooks up with existing harness in the car that allows remote start by hitting the lock button 3x. Anyone heard of it?
