Head Unit Install problem... Help please.

So I got my Pioneer P4200DVD installed. Everything seemed to be working good but the only problem is that I can not watch any DVD's. There is one light green cable that says its for the parking brake. I grounded that and it still won't let me play any movies.

I tried to watch a movie with the parking brake on when I started the car, off then set it, completely off, on off, on off type deal and am still getting the warning screen every time.

Is there anything else I have to do???

Any help is appreciated.

Those units have to see a ground only after the unit is powered on, so just grounding it will result in nothing. If you want it to work successfully you need to either wire in a toggle switch, or if you want to avoid switching it constantly you can wire in a relay to trigger ground to the parking brake with a delay to it so your unit will always be bypassed

Ya eventually figured this out today. Just watched a how-to on youtube for using a relay. Took maybe 5 minutes, now I can use GPS and see video while driving.
