rear speaker splicing

In my cobalt i'm going to be splicing the line output converter into the rear speakers. I also have 4 kenwood 6.5" speakers that I have laying around and would like to splice them into the rear speakers as well with a little custom box made for them. Do you think all of this splicing into the rear speakers would cause a overload? Also does anyone know which wires for the rear speaker is the positive and negative since there all different colors?

You're trying to put the 4 speakers in the car hooked to the same outputs as the rear speakers and leave the rear speakers in place? That will make the load(impedence) on the reciever too low and probably damage it.......

I wouldnt bother splicing in the line in convertor. I tried doing that because I didn't want to change out my head unit. The signal that hits the rear speakers is really really dirty. When I first hooked up the line convertor into my amps I had constant static coming out of all the speakers. The line convertor wasnt at fault as I had just removed it from another vehicle where is sounded really good. If your gonna put in an amp do the head unit, I know I didnt want to, but had no real choice.

I Spliced into my rear speakers and it sounds fine. I dont have the Pioneer system either. As for wich one is negative look on the speaker itself and you will see an "A" and a "B" i think it was and the "B" was negative. you can find out for sure by hooking the spear up and if the sound get quiter change it around and you will have it correct. if i remeber i will look on my next day of and update.
