I just put an aftermarket H/U in with an aux. plug in the front. My ipod sounds crystal clear now, I have the iTrip, and i HATE the iTrip.

On topic however there are fm modulators that will work just fine transmitting your ipod over the airwaves so that you can listen to them in your car. these lil devices have been out for a very long time since the days of the walkman that played only tapes. http://www.eforcity.com/dothxxxxfm01.html |
i got this: Scosche FM-MOD01 Modulator, its an inline FM modulator (hooks directly into the antenna in the back of the radio so there is no fading or dropping signal... when you order it from crutchfield.com it automatically adds the antenna adaps.; it comes to like $56.00 including shipping takes you 30min to hook up and sounds 10x better then the iTrip...

yeah as long as you keep the ipod turned down a few clicks from max & turn the little volume screw up in the adaptor some you dont get any distortion or static... and its not quite as good as cd, but as good as sitting in the parking lot of the radio station.
