my mtxs blew up last night Wat is 1 perfect sub for my amp

Last night i was bumping some music then boom both the subs blew. I think my amp did it its a boston accoustic gt-24 900 watts mono. my mtxs were 4500s that were rated for 225 rms a piece. i am running now a 12 inch ported box with a orion sub that works but its a little old and needs to be replaced. What do u guys think about a alpine type r 12 inch i need a sub with quite a bit of power so i dont blow it lmk what you guys think.

Screw the subs they are heavy and slow you down On a side note I saw you guys cruising last night through the mall lot. I was at Sears picking up my new pool table

JL Audio, The W7' are a little pricey but even the lower line (W3, W1) are great, need very little airspace and have a good clean thump. I had a Rodek, RA2150 running 2 12w3's in bandpass and it shook pictures on the wall in the 3 floor apartments when I tried to tune it (just finished install) in my underground. That Boston puts out more power then the Rodek did.
You might want to relook over your wiring, or turn the gain down on the amp, to fry both subs at once is....well...you must of had it bumpin bet it sounded good right up untill the bass just disapeared

umm well im gunna tell you this your gunna need another box made..., i tell everyone this so dont just think its you.... but pre made boxes or custom boxes made for another sub will blow your sub no matter how good... so i say get another box made.. if you need the dimensions for a proper box pm me and ill find them for you,, dude sorry to hear that they blew but i mean its because if they air space is not right then your gunna be putting too much pressure on the sub... so if you need my help let me know

if you dont care about sound quality and you just want thump i'd say higher end kicker or go with the mtx 9500's (pretty pricey though) if you want good sound quality, highs, lows, and still some kick to it go with eclipse, we started carrying them at circuit city and infinity withdrew there stuff lol.
