Cobalt with Ipad Mini Dash

Still have another hour of body work to go, just figure id share in case anyone was interested in doing one themselves.

Were you able to keep the factory radio? Or I should say, how is this connected to the speakers/sound system. Have any pictures of the build? This is a really cool idea.

The iPads connected to an aftermarket radio in the glove box. It uses Bluetooth to control the radio so I never have to mess with it.

So are you charging the iPad off the aftermarket radio or just plugging into cigarette lighter or what?

I was like at doing something like this in my old cobalt, more car-puter though. Things have really advanced, Ipad mini looks like it fits well, I may do this one myself.

Android decks are a pretty good alternative too.

Can also be used with torque and display gauges.

The ipad is charging off of a 12v cigarette lighter tucked behind the dash and i have the lighting connect epoxied into the dock.

tacked in place with mobile solutions CA glue, then glued in place with devcon plastic weld. The rest is bondo plastic filler and spot putty. i got it a little bit better today. ill attach some pictures in a little bit.
