Stock Pioneer Sub Was Removed.... Can it be re-wired back in?

Alright guys,

I bought my car a couple years ago... and the guy I bought it from had deleted the stock pioneer sub to install a different subwoofer and AMP.

Before I got the car he removed the aftermarket system and now im left with just simply the speakers and stock head unit. I looked at the wire harness to the rear left quarter panel area and didn't find any wire connecters or anything for the original sub. Im assuming they cut it off and taped it up.

It there a way to wire in another factory sub? Or an aftermarket subwoofer using the stock AMP? I checked and the amp is still installed and connected under the driver side of the dash....not sure what its powering... but its there.

Im not trying to spend an arm and leg to get the bass back into the car... but the pioneer system without the woofer is pretty lame as far as bass goes. What do you guys think are my best options....Ive been driving it for years like this but am finally ready for a change.

Thanks for your replies.

Look under the trunk liner on the driver side. The sub was probably just removed at the connector. Its just a small black 2 wire connector. You can get another stock sub and box for pretty cheap or you can wire in a low power 8 or 10 inch in a small box. Easiest thing would be to get a small aftermarket amp and sub and call it a day

Edit: just read you said you checked under the liner already. If you can get a wiring schematic of the stock amp you can run new wire to the trunk. Im sure there is one on here somewhere.

Yeah I pulled the whole liner and could not find the connector anywhere. So im sure it was cut off and wires taped up with the whole wire loom back there. I just wasn't sure where to cut into the loom to start looking for the wires and didn't want to create a problem.

If anyone has a schematic or any tips or advice that would be great.

how far did you pull the liner down. because removing the wire is a bitch. i yanked mine all the way to the front of the quarter panel and said **** it. Chances are its still there or shoved in the little cubby hole where the harness passes into the trunk

Anyone have a picture of the wires that plug into the sub? Is that harness separate of the main harness that goes into the trunk for all of the rear lights?

Anyone have a picture of where the stock sub harness comes into the trunk? I have followed the main harness and not found any additional harnesses or wires...

Im wondering if they cut the connecter and then just taped it up inside the main harness that goes into the trunk

Pull your rear seat and rear trim from the drivers side. The loom runs back along the drivers side and through to the trunk behind the plastic trim

Here's the connector

I didn't have a stock pioneer system but I added in an amp under the package tray and wired the sub to it.

Well an update on this. I got a sub with enclosure. I could not find the factory plug to plug the sub into so I tapped into the needed wires and ran wires the wires to the sub box. I took the 2 negatives and connected to the black negatives at the sub box.... and the 2 positives to the red positives at the sub box... and BOOM. Nothing. No power at all to the sub from what I could tell. FML.

I checked the 20amp fuse in the passenger floor compartment for the amp... and it is installed and not blown. Anyone have any ideas as to why I have no power?

The factory amp seems to be plugged in.
