Black 05 zaino'd and now vinyl free!

Zaino'd the car and took some pics at a local golf course. The next day I took a chance, and tore the vinyl off of the door frame. It wasn't that hard, but where it tore, it was hard to get started again. Slow and steady won the race.

If you own a black SS, taking off that hideous vinyl should be mandatory. Not too sure how it would look on other colors.

Your SS looks awesome. I think any color would look better without the black vinyl...don't be surprized that in the third or fourth year of production it will no longer come with it. Did you use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the vinyl before removing it?

Check out the newest images in the gallery, I put the larger ones in there...

Over on *************, someone had the nerve to say that black is an ugly color....an '05 Red SS owner no less....for shame. I love all of the colors.

Is there an adhesive residue left over after you peel it off? If so, what do you use to remove the residue? Is is called "Goo Gone"? Same stuff you would use to remove the badges off the paint as well??

Dude, looks sick!! How dark is the tint? Is it legal? You're making me regret changing my colour from black to blue on my order. I think blue is hot too though. Nice SC!!

Don't know, but the dealer installed it. That is why I had to have it in black...the tint sold me. I need to get a higher res camera to take some better pics. Those are from an old 2 MP camera.
