Little Backstory
I've been in the cobalt game since I got my license, guess that can be both good and bad depending how you look at it
. I previously owned a fully bolted and tuned 2007 LT for a solid 3 years before I realized getting 32-38MPG with a dyno proven 158whp just wasnt enough; I wanted something reliably FAST and something that wouldnt break the bank for the college student budget, so here I am, just another one of "those guys" who upgraded to the SS from a base model. Picked this beauty up BONE STOCK with 40k on her on April 9, 2012.
My Build Mentalities
GO FAST BUT DONT LOOK FAST!
-the car is quite the "sleeper" as some would say from being one of the rare ss/tc sedans. Keeping it looking that way without adding anything flashy on the exterior and by removing badges is what makes this car a blast to surprise people with, whether it be on the street or track!

well.. heres a small update..
the brakes ended up needing replacement so I bought new pads/rotors all around for it. Given it has 65k on it, and I race it semi-regularly I wouldnt consider it too bad. had a difficult time removing the brake pins in the brembos. Ended up spending 2 hours swearing while removing the front brake pins, ruining the beautiful red paint on the calipers that has lasted for almost 2 years, and was left rather frustrated from that. Simple brake job turned into repainting calipers and buying new pins. Hard to bite a $500 basic brake job bill for just parts (thanks brembo for being absurdly expensive lol), but they turned out nice and the car brakes like a boss again now! gotta pay to play I suppose
the new caliper color (less flashy, hides brake dust more, metallic looks good) still have to order brembo logos for them

Ill get some more shots with the nice R1 Premium Blank rotors here shortly. Still need to do the rear brakes, but they arent bad quite yet so I'm not in a huge rush to do them at this point (other than the fact it bugs me the front and rears dont match right now) lol.
more recently, this weekend I removed all the interior trim to re-do. I wasnt a fan of having ALL THE INTERIOR TRIM RED, it was just too much red. I needed something for contrast, so luckily my roommate does hydrographic water transfer and we are working on the trim as I type. Really happy with how its looking so far.
teaser shot, should have final shots in by next weekend as we need to order more supplies

lastly, just finishing up bypassing my headunit to allow me to utilize all the functions when the car is moving. Its sort of a pain not being able to punch in addresses on the GPS on the fly, so its just a bit of wiring to fix this small thing as long as the trim is out and everything should be awesome
