Buying a used blower

Going to look at a used, stock m62 and an intake manifold. What should I be looking for as far as red flags? Supposedly has ~160km on it, stock pulley and such, what are some serious warning signs i should be watching for on either the m62 or the IM?

Check the condition of the rotors of the sc. Check for cracks around the bolt holes on the intake mani

Check rotors, shaft play, & listen for any rattles when you spin the pulley or hub by hand.

What am I looking for? I've read that the coating coming off is pretty common and unavoidable so am I just looking for major scuffs and gouges? If it's bad should I buy anyways if I can get a killer deal or just run away?

Dipped_Cobalt Sep 25, 2015 05:25 PM

whats the killer deal? 5 bucks?

A few small scratches on the edge of the rotor packs, nothin major, coating was still intact on the rotors so I bought it. Thanks for your help guys.

I know it's late so if a 160k supercharger was fine, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? I need a price to base mine off of. I'm buying a 60k full kit and going to paint and build it then replace mine
