turbosmart manual boost controller tee questions

i got a turbosmart boost controller. the tee one. what im trying to know is, how many turns on the knob is equal to 1 psi? i have the s20g turbo and the wastegate is 16 lbs so im trying to boost a little more. trying to get it to around 20-22. i just have no idea how much is 1 psi and i dont wanna start playing with it without knowing what im doing.
also, if i manualy raise the boost, would i need a retune or would it affect my tune in any way?

Its a lot. My wga is 15 psi and I think it took like 25 cranks to get to 25 psi. Lol. Your best bet is to go do a pull, look at your boost, then adjust accordingly.

And your tune will be fine. I drive on 24psi usually and turn it up to 28 for "fun time" just keep an eye on that boost gauge, especially after a good temperature change. I was boosting 24 psi one day and the next day it was 27 because it was like 40* colder out.

No. Your car will adjust for any boost level. Just don't crank up the boost too much. Idle what's safe for a 20g but on my BNR I wont go past 28-29 psi. After that its just blowing hot air. And no 1 turn isn't 1 psi. Lol. If I tried that boom.

Just start off with 5 clicks, monitor the change in boost (say 15 psi before and 17 after 5 clicks, then just click it over like 15 times and toil be around 23-24. Just an example.

Really? Say the op is tuned for 20psi, it's ok for him to increase it a couple psi without a retune? I was always under the assumption that you would start running lean. I might have to crank up the boost just a little bit if that's the case.

From my understanding youll be fine. The MAF will read the extra air an adjust everything accordingly. If it sees more air (more boost) it will add more fuel and keep your WOT afr on target.

Im not a tuner tho so id get a second opinion from someone who tunes just in case.

if your tuned on 16psi and your going for much higher boost levels such as 22psi+ you deff need a tune or else the car is just going to run straight lean and then boom. better be safe than sorry.

Makes sense. So a few psi should be ok.
