What is this weird part from under my stock intercooler?

This part ripped off from the bottom of my intercooler today.

Apparently it attaches by sliding the right side into a plastic slot and then screwing the left side onto the bottom of the intercooler. That plastic slot got weak and broke off. I discovered this problem when it started scraping the ground rather loudly, so I detached it.

I noticed that this thing must've contained oil because it was oozing some. There's no oil dripping from where it detached it at and I've got plenty of oil, but basically I know squat about what this part. I can't find any parts diagrams on it so that I can order a new one (as well as the plastic piece it's supposed to attach to). I also haven't a clue if driving without it is a bad idea, or a really bad idea.

Can someone cure me of my ignorance regarding this please?

Can't see it on my phone real well but it looks like the guard on the bottom that fell off. Don't hit any big bumps now because you won't have much protection now from scraping the bottom of the inter cooler.

It's the condensation tray, or in the lnf the oil tray. It collects condensation or oil. You now have a boost leak where it connected to the intercooler. Iirc some people have jb welded plugs into the area.

It ok to drive just don't race or go WOT, and the car might drive little funny because of the air leak.
