Our problem didn't cause any deaths though just one injury according to the article.

Has anyone heard of people on this forum having this problem? This is the first I've heard of it. I think I have some kind of rattle in my steering column, but I doubt that's related to this issue.

A recall covers all cars affected by it even ones out of warrenty. And this is just great more negative issues with these cars to bring down even more the low resale value on them. At this rate you might not even be able to give one away for free
One has to wonder after coming out of bankruptcy if they can pull through this hugh loss of money to fix 1.3 million cars

going by what the news artical said they are going to start notifing owners with 2005 and up first, as they will have the most miles, so yes everyone will get a letter from GM just as soon as they start getting new motors to instal in all of these cars
