I have a 07 Ls Cobalt and i just got some headers and a cat back exhaust however i dont have a down pipe. should i just get the stock down pipe cut and fitted to the exhaust or can i get a different downpipe without the catalytic converter? will running the car without the second O2 sensor make it run rich? any info helps. thank!

Ok, given these is your second thread in an incorrect section I'm assuming you're new here. You have a 2.2l and the engine code is L61, if you google search cold air intake site:cobaltss.net almost all newbie questions can be found there

You're running the car without a downpipe?!... If its an exhaust and header specific for these cars and not frankensteined to fit, your DP should line up and work. You cant get your stock cut and fit for the car if you dont mind driving with an open header (good luck not pissing off cops), or you could buy a catless DP, but good luck passing inspection unless you get the rear O2 tuned out. You wont necessarily run rich without a rear O2, but you will throw a CEL.

You'll get at least 50mpg because your alternater will pull so much less power while cruzing
