I think my oil pan keeps getting bigger!

Every time i go change my oil the dealer keeps telling me didn't me i need to bring more oil. The first time i went they told me 5 qt., the next time they told me 5.5 , then 6, and now close to 6.3 qt ! how big are our oil pans?

7 qts is a complete fill! It depends on how much they drain out each time you go!

Rambotk3 02-09-2009 02:50 PM

DAMN, 7 quarts! My camry use to fill up on 4 and a little

ColeJJones 02-09-2009 02:53 PM

wtf. your dealer is a fuckin idiot. do your own oil changes. it takes 6.5 quarts for the lsj engine. not sure what car you have

1badBlueberrySC 02-09-2009 02:55 PM

6.5 is what it should be though.... Cole is correct I usually use 6.5 each time! :)

Like I've said before - these cars tend to vary. Fill it until it registers properly on the dipstick. Mine takes 7 quarts religiously, but that's on the high side of most.
