Premium vs Unleaded regular?

Ok, I am new to this forum and I have been reading around and it looks like a lot of you know what your talkin about when it comes to cobalts.

I have a Cobalt LS not the SS. I was wondering if I should put premium or regular unleaded in my car?

Regular. Dont waste your money. There are ZERO benefits using premium in a vehicle that only requires 87.

use regular. to be thorough, the only benefit higher octane has is to be able to detonate later in the compression cycle. so an ls would recieve no benefit whatsoever from it.

Use what the Owners Manual says to use. I do however highly recommend using Top Tier fuel. It will keep the fuel system clean and greatly reduce deposit build-up.
