Any interest in salvage vechicles?

http://topekasalvagepool.com/32495.html

It appears to be an SS/NA and its an 07 and less than 2k miles...if i had the extra money and wasnt a broke student i would seriously consider buyin it...so i figured i would pass it on in case anyone is interested
btw the salvage yard is very reputable. i went to a tech school for auto collision repair and we regularly bought vehicles from them.

Too many issues with salvage vehicles.

I've been to Copart and IAAI yards here in NJ/PA. A lots of interesting cars there, but you gotta have time, money and dedication in order to deal with them.

Yeah i agree, but that was the nice thing about when i went to school for it. If I were still going to the said tech school i could have bought a car and rebuilt it for a grade. I figured i would try to help out someone in the same situation. It kinda makes me wish i still went to school there...

Jake... buy it ans sell the parts. depending on what they want for it, you will easily make your money back.

yea i was thinkin about that too. the way they work, u put in a bid and the highest bid gets the car. so, sometimes u can get a vehicle hella cheap

look at it this way, you could prob salvage at minimum: side skirts, rear bumper, exhaust manifold, dp, exahust, wind, interior trim, shift knob, head unit, speakers, wheels, spare. and then you can send me the seats.

Oh, what a waste. 2007 too.

Definately be good for parts, but not much else unless you want to put a lot of work into it.

pa is making it harder and harder to get an r title for any car, you need proof of everything pictures at a inspection station, and a bunch of other stuff, that and it takes like 4 months to transfer titles

Working on cars keeps me out of trouble. I'm always looking around for salvage/water damage vehicles in the right price range. As long as the frame or subframe isn't tweeked, then its usually a nice project to work on. That particular car....I'd only buy it if they guaranteed the frame was ok, and judging from those pictures, I don't think it is.

the frame is actually not that bad and is fixable, just throw it on the car o liner and it will be like new, normally you can see twisting in the way the thing line up, its just pushed back a little, it will need new frame rails in the front though
