I know alot of people argue about how much oil goes into a SS/SC so i thought i would post this here. It also give cooling abd tranny specs for each model . Most people say an LSJ takes 6 quarts of oil and some say 6.5 Q . This is from GM service information...6.3 quarts with filter .

i was reading my cobalt manual and it said 7 quarts for the lsj oil change, but it could have gotten fluid amounts mixed with the transmission. Although it did take 7 quarts approximately when i filled it yesterday, good info though.
