Thumbs up Baer Big Brake Kit

Hey all...Just put on my Baer Big Brake kit last night...(Calibers, 4-disk rotors, Hawk Brake pads, and steel braided brake lines, the whole works)...also switched out the stock silver centercaps and replaced them with the new Gunmetal Chrome centercaps

Here are the Specs:

Baer Track System
2-piston Aluminum Calibers
13" Cross-drilled Zinc-washed Performance Rotors

Here is the link for anyone interested:

http://www.baer.com/products/complete/track.php

Looks pretty sexy if you ask me! Still not completely ceeded yet, every-day commuting recommended for the first 500 miles, then 60% braking, then 85-90% aggressive braking to fully break them in...I notice a huge difference already, I am uploading pics to photobucket now...soon as those are loaded, I will post pics ASAP. Thanks for looking!

I was in complete amazement when I opened the box and saw them in person! haha...finally got the rest of the kit yesterday after having only half the set for weeks, so I couldn't wait another day and had to put them on last night.

The kit is from AMP Performance, but if you are looking for information and spec on the kit, I recommend Gravanatuning.com

The kit was just put on last night and got done pretty late, so I havn't gotten to drive it much yet, I'm really trying to break it in the right way, so no aggressive braking until after roughly 500 miles...but I notice a difference already even though its not fully ceeded yet...this b*tch will be able to stop on a dime!

Also, the Hawk pads are supposed to be top of the line as far as braking, wear, and are supposed to leave little to no brake dust....I guess if they are good enough for NHRA drag racing, NASCAR and all them, they're good enough for the Balt

Not to say it wont help performance (go) but I feel they do a little more for the looks of the car then the overall perfroamce. I just upgraded my breaks, not half as nice as yours at all, but I'd realized after it is a little bit more of a looks mod.

Thats a really nice set! Keep us informed on how well they work once you break 'em in.

1. Roughly installation for everything was bout 2-3 hours including bleeding the brakes

2. Guy from AMP Performance actually talked me out of ordering the red stuff pads, said Hawk was much better and top of the line as far as wear and little to no brake dust

3. Not sure, wouldn't see why not

I think I'm gunna do break lines after the winter. Def something i'll look into.

Interesting. I bought some rotors from a vendor (more for looks) and got the green stuff pads. No break dust so far (olny been about 300 miles) but in the directions for breaking them in, It sez if u do it right, there will be a squeeling for a while. Sure as **** there is a suqeeling and it drives me nuts. Makes me feel like Im driving a hooptie.

I was told if the breaks get to big, ya can't fit drag's on em.... i'll have to 2x check that.
