Was wondering if we could still order Powell parts for the Cobalt?? If so how would I get a hold of them to place an order?? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

 

Yes you can still get Powell lowering spring through zzp's website. However looks like their control arm bushings are out of stock and rear sway bar . You can get zzp rear sway bar which i heard is very good and less expensive. The control arm bushings you can get zzp version and they are solid hard rubber and a nice alternative. Hope this helps.

 

Was wondering about the Powell front rotated trans mount and rear spacer kit. I know there is the Ottp and Zzp mounts, but the consensus before was the Powell mounts were the best.

 

Yes they are. Your only other option is to email them. However I tried emailing powell late last year about another product and no one responded. So thats why i'm saying go with zzp or ottp. There products are just as good in my opinion and many others for that matter. I would read the reviews on zzp's website. I've ordered many zzp and ottp products and have been pleased with them and no issues.

Powell is leagues above other vendors of the same platform. ZZP swaybar is the same style as progress which ive had, and compared to the xxx bar its night and day with powell being the better option.
I ran the Powell control arm pieces as well and quality is just superior. Delrin self lubricating bushings which promote movement of suspension components vs hard rubber and or polyurethane which prevents movement and offers no lubrication. the last two also break down faster than delrin. Having driven 12 hours to Johns shop before it closed and seeing the parts first hand, hearing the man speak ( he has forgotten more than any of us will ever know ) and seeing one of the time attack cobalts in person in his garage, his stuff really is tested in full race applications and has credentials to back up on why it surely is the best money can buy. Again I say this having also shopped other options over the course of owning the car. John is a true treasure to this platform.

 

This is good to know. I thought he was closed for good. And Gloria is the one I emailed and got no response. However it was during the covid years and as we all know life was a freaking mess for everyone around the damn world with part shorteges. And I do agree the Powell Sway bar is the s$hit and the same with his lower control arm bushings and leading bushings. The same goes with the yyz springs. I had my G5 out yesterday on my local back roads and the smile on my face everytime with how my car handles now compared to stock is just night and day difference.
