Check engine light and codes...

Well here it goes guys i have a 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS, and i decided to start working on it and put a cold air intake ( no specific brand for starters)and now i'm getting two Engine codes which are PO172 and P1101. I have talked to people about it and they tell me that its a common problem and nothing to worry about, but i just wanted to know if anyone on here had any info i could use about this?

Thanks guy's

I know the p1101 is System to lean bank 1 which is a common problem when you put a CAI on. I get it everyonce and a while and after a few miles clears its self. I have heard 2 reasons for you to get the code. One is that the oil on the new CAI filter starts to coat the MAF sensor and causes it to give you the code and the other is that the computer for the car is reading a higher amount of air flow due to not as much restriction with the CAI and causes it to give you the code. I dunno if these are the exact causes for this code but this is what i have heard from other people. The other code you have i dont know off hand what that is but i know there is a thread here with a list of all of the CEL codes and their definitions.

Yea thats what I've heard, and i took it by Advance Auto today and they even told me that they see this all the time and cleared it for me. but once again thanks a lot.
