Cobalt coupe LT 5 Speed rarity?
Hello,
I sold my cobalt ls since it did not have power locks, windows, or cruise control and I really didn't feel like paying over $500 to install those features. After researching for the last month I have come to see that LT 5 Speed manuals are pretty rare. I would almost say as rare as the ss sedans. They are very hard to find and people have jacked up the prices really high, although I found one in good condition and the seller doesn't know the rarity of the lt 5 speeds. I'm wondering, is there a way to go onto chevy's website and find production numbers for the lt 5 speeds?

Also only buy a Cobalt if you're looking for a SS. There's better cars available for the price.

I have had my 2006 Cobalt LS since 2007 at which time I bought it with 15,000 miles on it for $10,500. I drove it my last year of highschool and all through college beating on it every time. The only time it was ever in the shop was when people decided to smash into it with their vehicles. Been a very reliable car for me. I honestly don't know what car in the price range of around $1,000-$2,500, like base model Cobalts are, that would be a better value.

It's subjective I suppose to what's important to you and what isn't. Also depends on price/condition. And affording it is irrelevant to the point I made because I was comparing it to other cars in the same price range. So I'm not saying a $1,500 Cobalt is better than a $3,000 Corolla which is twice the cost. Generally more expensive cars are better than less expensive cars and I am not arguing against that point.
