i actually just got out of the christiana medical. Thats why i havent been around for a while. Seems like ive really had nothing but bad luck with everything for the past couple of months. but ok heres what happens.
I had acually decided to work a little after my store closed (circuit city roadshop), we had a couple of cars that needed to be done by morning so i was working on them. Our shop had 3 areas to bring cars in. one had a suv in it which i was working on, the one in the middle was empty and my car was in the other one. I always bring it in at night, its a really bad area.
So my girlfriend was coming up to keep me company and to watch tv in the shop. It was a really nice night so i had both of the garage doors open. Makes it more relaxed i guess, not as confined. So she came in and was there for alittle while but nature called and got up to use the bathroom. Thats the last thing i remember. but video cameras are a great invention. She got up to leave and everything was quit for about 2 or 3 minutes. I was working in the trunk of the car and had my back to the door. Not to be racial it just the truth, 4 black guys snuck in. I guess i must have heard them cause i started to turn around and they hit me in the side of my face with a wooden bat. Its the strangest thing to watch this happen on a screen and know it was you but not remember it. The first time i saw it, it sent a chill straight down my spin. Ive since seen it 3 or 4 more times.
So they hit me once to the face and twice to the ribs. The investigater said i was out after the first hit but it was likely they didnt know that cause i leaned forward when i fell over. My girlfriend in the bathroom came out when she heard the comotion, but did the best thing a 22 year old girl could do when 4 guys knocked out her fiance..... she ran away. She ran straight into the store itself and seat off the silent alarms and called the police thro her cell.
Some people might they she should have jumped in, shes a girl and there were 4 guys....no. She could have been beat up or raped or even dare i say it killed. and i could never live with myself if somthing happened to her when i was laying 4 feet away. So she ran, and they left me lay after the first few hits. They started stealing eveything from the shop, they didnt have a keycard to get in the store itself so they just took what they could which was only 200 dollers worth of stuff.
i dont know if they are dumb but it looked like they didnt even notice my car until they were almost finished taking everything. But once they did, it was the end. they had all the tools right there. they jacked up the car and took the rims. then cut the air to the jack and droping the car on the rotors like a brick. then they broke all the windows and took a drill and drilling holes in the sides and hit just about every square inch of with a bat. One guy got up and jumped on the wing spliting it in half abiously and then riped it off. they took a knife to every wire or hose in the engine compartment, they took my intake tube (wow). They cops started to show up and then they just ran out the back and into the woods.
During all this i was just laying there in my own blood. Sorry its a little gory.
When my girlfriend heard them leave she came out of hiding and ran back into the shop. She told me when she first saw me, she thought i was dead
So then took me to the nearest emergency room, where i woke up at the next moring. My head felt like someone had just took a blow torch to it. It wasnt aching is was burning like hell. The aching came later. So i spent the last few days there. The day before i got released, one of the managers from richmand (basicly the god of circuit city) came to see me and brought a video from the camera and gave me 2 months PTO. Later that day my girlfriend got a call from statefarm about the car, totaled.
i have no clue what im getting but im not gana be driving for a while. But who knows i like the new gtos. But acually i really dont care about my car, the only thing i really care about is my girlfriend was safe. They almosted killed me, i dont even want to imagine what they would have dont to her. As much as i love my cobalt its not worth a nickel compared to her.

holy ****.... glad to hear your girlfriend and you are ok! i hate to hear when stuff like this happens, just gives u an idea on where the worlds headed...

 

my guess is it wasnt premeditated, they just saw the garage open and went for it

 

At least they didnt have a gun, I hope you catch those ******* and sue em for whatver theyve got

Damm, thats ruff. Hope you get a badass new car, and thank god you and your GF are allright. I really hope they catch those *********, people like that need to be shot into orbit because they dont even deserve to breath the same air as us.

That's the craziest thing i ever heard dude, at least your okay. But you're wrong about one thing, a cobalt is not worth a penny compared to someone you love. But at least the both of you are okay.

Wow. Glad to hear that you and your GF survived that. Especially with what could have happened. Sorry about the car, but like mentioned above it is worthless compared to a loved one's life.

Even if they did catch them you probably couldn't get a penny out of them in a lawsuit. People like that need to be dealt with in a way they cannot victimize anyone ever again.

 

Holy crap man! That is some crazy sh*t! Thank God you and the girlfriend are still alive. Why do people do that kind of stuff. I can understand the robbery part, but the vandalism? We live in a screwed up world.

 

That's a preety scary story, good to know both of you surived, but wow, it's sounds like a brutal experience.

 

is there any chance we will see this video on TV like on one of those shows on spike tv?? You could probly sell the vid for some good cash... or send it into Americas ost wanted....

 

wow that sucks im sorry to hear that. well hopefully you will recover fast and just get to enjoy some of that PTO. What idiots why vandalize the cobalt? glad your girl was in the bathroom, could u imagine if they would have hit her, or worse?

First and foremost I'm glad to you and your girlfriend are ok. That must have been really traumatic for you and especially her for witnessing the whole ordeal. The car is only an object, and can be replaced when you're ready. What matters most is that you're ok. I wish you a quick recovery and the best of luck with whatever it is you would like to drive. Hopefully justice will be served to those thugs.

 

Im so glad to hear you both are somewhat alright. If this happened to me I would kill them no jokes no exxagerations.

 

Glad that u and ur girl are OK. I pray that you have no long term damage. I've worked ER truama for 15 years and have seen some bad things occur because of closed head injury. Thank God I live in Texas. We have a law here "concealed handgun law". We have it and my wife and I use it. There's never a sure fire cure. But carrying a gun makes you feel a little better. Glad to hear you made it out alive man. As soon as I started reading and saw Delaware I got the feeling it was gonna be even worse than yourcar being totalled. I spent some time in very downtown Wilmington (day time) and I honestly was praying that I didn't get shot during a drive by with the drug dealers on the corner. Yay ghetto!

 

Dude that sucks man, glad you and your girl are okay, as was said before, concealed carry law = good thing. Anytime i am out late i have my kimber with me on my side, just a piece of mind for me. U should look into getting a gun, i know if that happened to me i would definently carry after that.

wow, thats the craziest thing i have ever heard. glad to see you are okay now and that your GF is safe and yes she did so the smartest thing she could. i had stopped for gas out there at like 3 am coming home from spring break one year and some guy walked up to me asking for a few bucks to get his car over the bridge and i gave it to him luckily there were 3 other people who got out of the car when he approached. the gas attendant was like girl you have no idea how crazy what you just did was and your lucky he didnt kill you. i guess him behind bullet proof glass should have told me something about that place.. some places are just plain ghetto i guess. that scared me a bit.
i hope that you recover completely from this physically and mentally/ emotionally because this is very traumatic. wish you the best man....sorry about your car as well
