Dent in doors anyone?

Alright guys I dont have pics as of yet but, I will have some tomorrow. I was just wondering if any of you have had small dents in doors from someone opening there door and hitting your car. Of course I park as far away from cars as possible but shit happens. Its a very small dent about an inch long and not really deep. Have any of you had gotten them out by either a body shop or yourself. Any information will help thanks.

bump anyone

there are a ton of "dent wizards" around. Go to any dealership that sells used cars and ask them who they have remove there small dents and they will point yah in the right direction. It will be pulled out quicker than shit...

Mine which is about a nickle around and like 3 mm deep but right on the door bend. I was quoted 600$ to fix by the dealerships body guy.

Kibosh3 03-18-2008 11:07 AM

Man he saw you commin'! Get several quotes. It took me 5 quote before I found a decient place that didn't ask for my right nut to get my dents fixed. Hudini(my car) is going in mid-end of april for some minor surgery. Good Luck!

paintless dent repair

rocco11189 03-18-2008 05:43 PM

Thanks man I guess ill try that dry ice idea on my car see if it works.

SSRedSC 03-18-2008 05:45 PM

Yah 600 would prob be to repaint it and everything. I was definetly talking about outsourcing. Get a referral from a dealer as to who they have pull out there dents or hit up the yellow pages.

There is nothing worse than coming back to your car, that is parked in a busy lot, and there is a fucking dent in the door. I swear to god I feel as if I need to kill someone.

About 2 months ago I was on the phone in my car at a local Target. I guy pulled in next to me not knowing that I was in the car. He swung his door open and smoked my door. I got out of the car (he was surprised to see me not knowing I was in the car) and said "WTF" I look down and there is a nice ding in my door. He said that it wasn't him. I said "The fuck it wasn't" Then he said, " Don't be such a baby it's a tiny little ding." Well, that fucking pissed me off, and I fucking lost my mind. I walked over to his car, and fucking kicked his door. Left a nice dent. Guy thought I was crazy, and said he was going to call the cops. Well its over 2 months now and I haven't heard a thing. I swear I was going to fight this fucking prick. Moral of the story: "Cars are part of the family, don't fuck with them.":nono:;)

hahahahahaha I would do the same thing man if they were that much of a prick.

450.00 for my dent + paint....although I tipped 50.00 for the great work.

rocco11189 03-18-2008 06:05 PM

The worst thing is when they need to repaint a whole section of your car. This means that down the road as the paint fades you will see the difference of the older paint compared to the newer paint. Therefore some dents just shouldnt be fixed.

very true!

You'll notice how shiny your new paint is compared to 1 yr+ old paint from factory. Thats why I've repainted almost every damn piece short of the frame.

Lol yea it would really affect me because I have a black ss/sc

nothing worse than having a beautiful car with 1 ugly ding... god it hurts. Not like the whole damn thing is banged up and adds character....

Evil C 03-19-2008 06:42 PM

The 600 was from their referal which was teds autobody in Oak Forest who does all of Apple Chevy of Orland Parks body work. There was no way i was gonna pay that much. I just havent gotten around to getting it fixed yet.

rukkee 03-19-2008 07:39 PM

Anyone notice the clear on the factory paint is easily scratched? I had my hand slip off the sponge one day , and my fingernail left a scratch in the clear . It waxed out.... but still . Black is a bitch .

rocco11189 03-19-2008 07:59 PM

agreed

Evil C 03-23-2008 07:08 PM

lol Yeah im wishin I had the ultra silver er what ever the light silver color is. That color looks like sex on pavement and hides scratches way better. Black has always been a favorite of mine though so i got that (that and my options were yellow and red which really are not me)

ksmith15 03-23-2008 07:12 PM

I just had a huge dent in my car the other week. You can check out some of the pics in my gallery. I went to advanced auto parts and bought the "Ding King." It was like $20 and i was completely satisfied. Some of the best money i've spent

BigTizzle903 03-23-2008 08:05 PM

i got a minor one right by the wheel well in the fender (that little lip like 1/4 inch above the wheel well) but its so minor and its outta the way where you cant really see it that i dont think im going to spend the money to get that fixed.
