The End of 2005 Cobalt SS/SC
 

I just got off the phone with my dealer today (If any of you remember, I ordered an SS/SC on 28 February with G85), and apparently for all of those who were waiting on the G85 Package for the 05's, he relays this information:

" If your order hasn't been completed / your car hasn't been built by now, you will NOT receive a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC. "


As we all already know, there's an admin/restrictive hold on the G85 package, and there are a plethora of customers who've purchased this. We also know that a few people actually got the G85's (making for rare cars). Those of us who have been waiting, and have not yet received any word on what's going on with our cars (being built/shipped) will have to get a 2006 model. He says that for Military Car Sales, their last order date was sometime in April, and final inquiry date was sometime shortly afterwards. Makes me mad, because I ordered way back in February, and had I not asked for the G85, I would have had my car by now. Assholes.


Can anyone else provide any concurring information to go with this? If so, then it looks like I'm getting a 2006 Cobalt SS. I might as well change my color choice as well, since there are new ones out there. Ugh. Damn GM.

Wow, you guys have really had a tough time with that G85 deal. I guess us Canadians were lucky we got chinsed out of an options package for once! :rolleyes:

The 05' Model is being built until MID JUNE, I ordered mine about a month ago and my dealer said there shouldnt be any problem getting it. He said that he called about my order and they told him thee is no reason why orders that were accepted wont be built.
