My axles and everything are all original with 100K miles. Is there anything that would be a good idea to replace while I have everything apart?

Passenger side half axle

so we are almost ready to remove my old lsj out to put the new one I bought in but the passenger side half axle is being a major Bitch. Driver side axle came out fine but this one is not. Any pointers? Just reall frustrating cause I know once this axle comes out we just gotta hook the motor up to the hoist, apply some pressure, pull the top mounts off and we’re mint. Any help appreciated tho thanks!

I'm assuming the half axle clips into the jack shaft the same way the drivers side axle clips in the transmission. If so, one thing I figured out to coax the inner axle expansion ring to compress is first to make sure you don't have tension or compression axially on the axle itself. Rotate the axle a 1/4 turn, give it a little tap on the metal part of the inner CV joint to reposition the inner compression ring, then use your pry bar to see if it will pop loose like it should. If it still seems to be stuck, repeat rotate 1/4 turn, tap, and pry until the axle easily pops loose like it should. This has worked well for me.

Like JD said, I smack the inner cv joint with a hammer while prying and they usually pop out after a few taps.
