Fog lights!!....

i just got some aftermarket fog lights.....then i took it to my dealer to see if they could install them for me since i have no idea how to reach the bulb................stupid dealer said that its gonna cost 300bucks for labour since its not a GM oem bulb! so does anyone know how to reach the bulbs?.......

you'll prolly have to take the bumper off to get to them unfortunately.

seriously?!.......im not driving the SS.......the fog lights have the plastic thing around it.....im guessing that theres some way to take that plastic thing out ........but ....hmm....not sure.....

if it wasnt raining outside id go check for you...but i highly doubt that you have to take the bumper off.. you can probly reach around underneath and there might be a screw or bolt holding it in place...i could be wrong but it just seems like the logical way that it would be installed

if you take out the headlight you can reach them very easy right below

BlackSSNick 11-19-2009 10:06 PM

1. Take out the headlight assembly.

2. remove the headlight assembly bracket that holds the headlight then look down in the hole that is there and twist the bulb in the fog light assembly until you feel it come loose, i believe it is to the left, lefty loosey...then pull out of fog light assembly.
3. Disconnect the bulb from the plug.
4. plug the new bulb in to the wires.
5. put new bulb into fog light socket, twist to right...righty tighty
6. put headlight assembly bracket and headlight assembly back in.
7. go buy a case of beer with the extra money you save not paying 300 dollars for the STEALERship to do this work for that ridiculous charge.
9. send me a beer as well.
