Are the looks of the hood what matters most to you? Then get whichever YOU think looks the best.

The right hood can help your cars' performance, by taking weight off the front end and helping get the superhot air out of the engine compartment, especially if you've got a blower/turbo.
The hoods with scoops look good but do they really add any function? Since the air intake isn't anywhere near the scoop they don't help getting any cold air into the engine.

That said, I like the Extractor because it may actually help cool the engine. I say MAY because those slots aren't too big and probably won't let too much air exit there. On a supercharged car, those vents in the extractor hood may get some air flowing up and across the blower, which may cool it down a few degrees. And at high speed airflow over the hood may create a low pressure area right at the hood vents and actually pull more hot air out through them. Since I don't own a wind tunnel, this is all theoretical.

Just my opinion, I always choose function over style.

This is a little off the original thread, but isn't it stupid how many manufacturers and retailers put such shitty pictures on their websites?
I just visited a few sites to look at hoods and can't believe how many of the pics I saw are basically useless for trying to imagine what the hoods will actually look like on the car.
And so many of the pics are just bad photography, underexposed, badly framed, shot from poor angles, etc. It is hard to see any detail, especially on the dark CF hoods.

If I were trying to sell something, especially something that will drastically change the overall look of a car, I would make sure I provided many Hi-Res pics to show the part as accurately as possible. It isn't like it is hard to take a hood out of the crate, walk it outside into the sunlight, shoot and post some good pics.

Oh well, rant off.

Definitely down to the Invader or the Extractor mainly because of price. And yes, now I am going to get CF. And yes, I agree with the whole whomever is selling the hoods needs to have Hi-res pics that are actually ON the car!

Alright, that's it. INVADER it is! Best price and functional, looks gorgeous too! Thanks for everyone's input/"2 cents"!

Personally, I like the Extractor and I want one in CF if they have them. I think it would look sick on blue.

But like DrPuttsSS/SC said, don't go with what we say, pick your favorite and look around the garages a bit and see if you can't get an idea of how they look installed. I dunno why sites don't just take pictures of them ON the car.
