how do you change the ss fog lamp bulbs?
 

do you have to put it on a lift to get to them?? I got a pair of 7000k super whites I want to install.

I got tired of waiting for an answer. I took it to my dealer to see if they could install them for me since i have no idea how to reach the bulb................ dealer said that its gonna cost 300bucks for labour since its not a GM oem bulb. Best $300 I ever spent. They look awesome! well worth the price.

Wow, that is a lot of money for installing some lights! Did you get them off ebay? I got some for my Grand Am a few years ago and they completely melted my housings

No I did not pay $300 for them to change my bulbs. I work at a dealership and i slipped one of the techs a couple of bucks to change the bulbs for me during some down time. It took all of 15 minuts and thats 5 minutes to put the car on a lift. I watched and it wasnt so hard. So after countless people asking for a "how to" on how to change the foglamps, here it is.

1. If you can put the car on a lift it makes it much easier.

2. The lamps are accessable by prying open the plastic panels on each side. Try to push or position your wheels front facing outward on the current side you are working on. There are approx 3-4 screws on each side, the passenger side having 1 or 2 more, and 2 "pull tab fasteners" (tm) on each side that need to be removed for access. It may look like you need to remove the entire wheel well for access but it is not necessary. Just keep unscrewing and unfastening until you can pull the panels apart to access the foglamps. try not to bend them to much or you might break them but don't be too concerned they are pretty durable.

3. Just like any other bulb, turn to release from the housing. Use a flat screwdriver or other flat thing to release the tab holding the h11 in. MAKE SURE NOT TO TOUCH THE GLASS ON THE BULBS OR THE OIL FROM YOUR FINGERS WILL BURN THROUGH THE GLASS!!! Reinsert the bulb and turn the opposite way to fasten it back in.

4. Repeat step 2 in reverse.

5. Enjoy fog lamps!

lol..........yea........they tried to charge me for 300 bucks....

did u buy the 100/110W ones instead of 55/65W?....coz those 100/110W ones are guaranteed to be brighter....also to melt stuff as well :P
