Got My Goat Dynoed

as the title says i wanted to see how my car was running that i just got , so i took it to the dyno

numbers were Max Power = 373.69 Max Torque = 334.75

Second run Max power = 368.75 Max Torque = 332.35

This is for an 04 Which normally dyno around 300-310 Stock , AFR was pretty much a straight line around 12.0 - 12.5 , no big dips , car is running well

"That term came from the 60's. The first GTO's were named the Goat because they ate everything in site."

Because us redneck Americans couldn't pronounce Gran Turismo Omologato

Now, here's the real reason. The purist musclecar owners thought it was sacrilege to name an American car an Italian name, so they named it themselves. Goat.

in searching for an answer i read that GOAT was used so that the GTO wouldnt be associated with the term Gran Turismo Omologato. GTO was for the europeans and GOAT was for the americans.

I know he is not stock. I just thought they dynoed like 310-320. In an earlier post he said the ls1's dyno like 300-310. I was also wondering what ls2's dyno.

this is from an online article

Our '04 GTO test car would rev freely to its 6,000 rpm redline. As you'll see in the dyno chart, maximum horsepower was made at approximately 5,700 rpm and max torque checked in at 4,300 rpm. The best pull of 3 resulted in 297.38 hp with 314.58 ft-lb of torque. Other runs were close at 293.74 hp and 294.61 hp. If you use the rule of thumb that power to the rear wheels is 15 to 20 percent less than net hp at the flywheel, the reading would have been 280-297.5 hp based on the 350hp rating. So the GTO is right there.
