Interior Lighting
Interior Lighting
I do not have a dome light with my Cobalt SS w' sunroof obviously... But why are there no lights coming on at least on the floor when the car is unlocked or the doors opened? Has anyone else had this problem or are interior lights other then my mirror lights not included?? Feedback would be greatly appreciated...

Exactly what I did in my '92Cav, wired them up to the dome light circuit and mounted under my dash. I think used 3 of the little 9" mini ones, one in the center and one on each side.
i got my black ls coupe on saturday. but yea, i already have this problem where the lights on the rear view mirror to illuminate the cabin at night do not work. my brother and i were kind of afraid to try to get the panel off to get to the fuse box because it felt like we would break it before we would actually get it off.
does anyone else have any suggestions for getting the panel off to get to the fuse box?

In my 02' Cavy I wired neons under the dash to the aux lighter near the floor this way I had a nice little hidden switch under the dash... came out nice... but yeah I dotn know many cars that ahev more than dome lights especially a budget car like the cobalt
So, let me get this straight, there are NO lights in the interior that come on when you open the doors at night? I have an older model Cavalier, and while i know that it is an economy car, you should have at least a dome light (mine has three because of the sunroof--1 in back, 2 in the mirror). That's ridiculous if it doesn't have any.
It has the map lights in the mirror, but that's it. My GTP had a light in the bottom of each of the 4 doors as well as the dome light, I miss it. I think I'll probably be rigging something up later myself, tired of feeling around on the floor at night for stuff that went flying off the seats due to a little "spirited" driving.
