Changed the oil today for the first time. Oil filter removal is straight up stupid.

So I was going to change my fuel filter. I attempted to start the car so I could pull the pump fuse to relieve pressure from the lines. However the car wont turn over. The car ran when I got it. The starter turns over just fine but Im not getting it to start. Im not hearing any fuel pump however.

I also have the seats out of the car. I noticed theres what I assume airbag type sensor plug that goes into the bottom of the drivers seat. Could that prevent the car from starting? Some kind of safety feature?

Love the transformation!

People really underestimate the power of a proper deep cleaning of a used car.

Did undercoating yesterday and reinstalled the interior after painting the carpet with color bond. Need to do some sanding but almost ready to start painting the car with the plasti dip.

Really great progress you got going on! Looks nice! How was the underside before you gave it the undercoating? What did you use for it? I need to do that to mine. I'm enjoying the transformation!

Underside was good. No rust anywhere. I used simple green and paper towels then water and paper towels to get it all off. Let it dry then hit it with 3M undercoating. Took about six cans.

Nice man, I think I'm going to do the full undercoat when I replace my engine later this year or next. Glad to know how many cans I need to buy

undercoating looks good! does it fully dry or does it kinda stay tacky? I've used aerosol undercoating before and it never fully dries.

Im thinking about doing bedliner in my fender wells and under my car to help with noise.

You will be ok with the hydro shield....

You would need to literally submerge the filter to cause hydro lock.

The injen intake sits up high enough to avoid that. Any potential rain water that hits the filter will evaporate after reaching the blower.

Nice work though, I enjoyed looking at the restoring photos.

I ran it underwater when I got it in the mail. Water just beads right off of it but its completely breathable. Crazy.

Not sure about noise but the 3M undercoating I used wasnt cheap. I noticed its much more like a truck liner than the cheaper brands of undercoating that really just appear to be a flat black paint. I havent really bothered touching it but you can tell from the picture its pretty textured.
