Piston melted in one corner and that damaged the cylinder wall. Oh and I’m going to have to get used to this 3k stall converter.

Same thing that happened to my stock motor. So I’m back to a stock le5. Except it has arp head studs, balance shaft delete, hardened oil pump and overdrive ati. I’m going to buy one more diamond piston and a set of rings and put them and the molnars in this stock block. Also the head is getting ported this time

I need at least somebody to tell me what transmission is the one the car uses and if there is any variations or other options. I saw That many of the parts are compatible with saturn ion 2007. Any info will be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Make a post in one of the "general cobalt" or "problems service maintenance" sections. Probably won't get much help bombing your question in other random active threads.

3000 stall isn't a huge deal, just think of it like you were driving a manual, and had the radio blaring and didn't want to look like a noob taking off from a stoplight so you revved it higher and let out on the clutch slow.
My nova has a 3500 in it and I've driven a 4200, now that takes getting used to. I would love to have an auto at the strip. Now go and find someone and show them what that 3000 will do.

Figured I would bump this since it’s been a good bit since I posted anything in here. Haven’t really been driving the car much. Only driven it a few times since thanksgiving. Picked up an 09 lnf for 1000 bucks back in July. Previous owner spun a rod bearing. When we got the car home we rebuilt the motor for $400 and I’ve been daily driving that. Had some ugly chipped black msr wheels on it and I got them powdercoated white. And I’m currently building retros for it. Also picked up a bnr 2871 turbo for it. I also got new wheels for the sedan, lnf seats, custom led tail lights, carbon fiber invader hood, and made a color changing speedometer for it and put coil overs in the rear. Plan on taking the sedan to the track soon to get my 11.xx second pass

Thank you. I’m in love with those wheels. I’ve actually come to love that lnf though. Driving a standard is so much better

There's something about rowing gears that you can't get with an auto, unless you are trying to eat and drive, and then it's just a pain!

They are avid1 wheels and no plans for it because I’m moving on to something else. Don’t really have much interest in these anymore. Might part mine out.

Last things I’ve done. Headlights, headliner, hood. So that’s how it sits now. And I have my orange car.

Damn lol . Really? I'm kind of shocked but at the same time you have pretty much maxed your car to the highest level. Yeah those wheels look awesome. Did they do a custom rim for you since our stupid bolt pattern of 5x110 nobody seems to wanna make anything. That's why I just stuck with my oem GT rims and got my friend who owns a paint shop to paint them for me. I would love to find something lighter below 20lbs. I actually weighed my rims when I ripped the tires off of them and they were exactly 20lbs.

I like that interior Alissa looks really good and the invader hood looks sick also. The orange cobalt is it lsj or lnf?

It’s a turbo swapped lsj. No orange lnfs were made and after owning my black one for 12 years it’s time to move on.

the wheels are 5x114.3. I did a hub swap.

Yes completely understand Alissa. I'm the same way with my car but I have soo much money into it now and I bought mine new in 07 so its been with me for 15 years and the first new car I ever bought. I do want to get back into JDM scene after i finish the G5 though. I want to get a JDM Subaru Legacy Spec B or WRX Wagon right hand drive. I started with JDM so it would be- something new and exciting for me to work on and learn the whole Subaru culture.
