Need some help

I just bought my 2006 cobalt ss/sc and have done a couple simple mods like a full 3 inch agency power exhaust and a 3 inch cold air intake and just got my aem wideband guage and was really wondering what would be the next step to make some power with my car any tips or advice would be great thanks

Well make sure your ic pump is functional. Also do a comp test and leakage test to determine health. After good results look into a smaller pulley and injectors and cooling mods and a tune.

Smaller pulley, injectors, header, e85, tune, cooling mods, rotated mounts, suspension, brakes, tvs, there a sticky on here for a lsj build somewhere on here lol, I'm on my phone though, BTW, I'm a big zzperformance fan, check them out, and ottp is a great company as well

Yess that does help a lot I'm going to have to check mine do all ss/sc have them and what do u do if it is not working

insylem 07-12-2012 12:26 AM

Yes all SS/SCs have them. If its not working you can overhaul it yourself and replace the brushes, or buy a new one.

ZZPerformance.com sells them for about 120 Dollars or so
The GM Dealership sells them for about 550 Dollars or so.

Thanks I'm gonna order one from zzp soon then and replace mine where is the pump located on the motor and how hard is it to change???

Below the intake manifold, lift up the car, look for a hose going into a black thing and one coming out, easy to see, even easier to replace, make sure u clamp ur hoses to, coolant would go everywhere!!!

Thanks for the help with the ic pump I'm gonna get my new one ordered in and get it changed and then order some mods.
