Old member, new owner of an SS
 

Bought a 2008 Cobalt SS (yellow) today for around $16k with 10k miles on it. Pretty excited. Anyone know if GM has a performance website for the cobalts? Cant find anything and Im looking for parts that wont void the warranty. More specifically an intake and bov. Thanks.

intake and BOV are pointless but GMS1 is pretty good or trifecta hide a tune your biggest gain aside from a tune will be a downpipe

Yeah its plenty fast for now. Im looking to enhance the turbo sound. Its intoxicating.

wow man thats a great deal, i got my 08 sport after tax and everything it was 16.5 and had 25k on it.. pssht, grats tho , looks hot!:cssNET:

if you like the sound of the tubo id say get a intake, they help make the turbo sound better

I just put a k&n drop in filter and injen charge pipping (hot side) and you can hear the turbo spool more now. Also a down pipe would help some. If you want to keep the warranty just get the gm stage 1 kit, decent power increase while keeping warranty.

Yeah I love my car. Just got tint on it today- 50% up front, 35% rear. Ill take pics later or tomorrow. As far as the g85, I dont think it does have it- didnt know the 2008+ had that option. Oh well I like it as is.

Are you serious?! Out of Dick Bigelow Chevrolet? Damn thats crazy. The car sat there for three months before I bought it. They also had a silver 2009 for $1000 more. Im not a fan of silver thought so I opted for the one I got. They also had an '05 and '06. So far I have bought my last 3 cars there- were good friends with a few of the salesmen.

Dead serious lol I called the day you came and picked it up and told them I wasn't interested if they didn't have another yellow one lol the sales lady tried to pitch the silver one to me too haha

Welll, I already have a yellow one, I was just gonna trade for the LNF. But I threw that idea out the window anyway, not having a car payment is better lol
