i ordered my 06' ss s/c on nov 2. i work for the dealer, apparently out of the ones that are made each dealer is alloted so many. trying to get an extra one(like our factory orders) is a bitch. i found out today(jan 17th, that is is still in paper form, and expect another ten weeks. so now if it is actually on time this time it will be 5 months to get here. usual delaivery time for most cars is 8-10 weeks.

i put in my order and waited 8 weeks and gm still had not picked up my order from the dealer so i was like see what you can find me and my dealer got me one from another dealer about 3 hours away they went and picked it up and the dealer even drove 1 hour to have my co-signer sign the papers then picked me up and we went and got my car
as for your car be willing to wait another 3 months or settle and have your dealer find you one btw i wanted one w/ my the g58 package but ended up geting one w/ everything but on-star and yellow not blue. check that out its worth the extra cash IMHO

I went in to my local Chevy dealer last December to order a Cobalt. The dealer there said that Chevy wasn't doing special orders on Cobalts because it takes too long to re-tool the assembly line. I don't know if he was BS'ing me or not. I think he was trying to just clear his lot, personally. So, I left and got a used '05 for a WAY better deal than he could have ever offered. I'm glad I didn't have to wait.
