remember, dont bother scraping off the sealant, b/c you cant just rebake them after they are painted and reuse the old sealant w/ a bit of new
|

thanks y'all. i started at around 140 degrees then bumped it up to almost 200. its not too hot at all. im surprised. i put my hand right on the clear housing and its almost cool to the touch. but i agree. no more than 200. (fingers crossed) i'm taking out the first one in about 5 minutes. i just hope it stays soft enough to get it all off. i'm going straight out in the sun to do it. its a nice sunny day at about 75 degrees here around Cleveland today. wish me luck. lol :D
UPDATE IN PAST 5 MINUTES.................. Oven works GREAT! i'm so excited. It just pulled apart so easily and then i took my razor knife to take off/SMOOTH out the excess adhesive. i know i cant get it all of, so if its all smoothed out it should make a good seal after i goop on a lot of sealant. WOOHOOOOO! stay tuned for the next episode. :D |
hope it goes well for ya man. post some pics when you're done

I'll have them on the site tonight sometime. i hope you all tune in to see them. thanks again y'all. 4 minutes and 20 seconds til the second one comes out. lol. seriouisly. :D

I get tax free from my shop. im sticking with them. the dealership will charge more and get less. plus they're all dicks at the dealership. my lights look good, but they're fogging up like hel. im gonna re-seal them tomorrow and get pics.
