People that have used copper spray for head gaskets

Last 2 times I have installed new head gaskets I have been plagued with very small coolant leaks. I want to use the copper gasket spray this time to avoid all that. I know some people on this forum have use this in the past and I wanted to hear your methods. How many coats did you do on each side? Do you coat both sides and let it get tacky before installation, put it on dry, or leave it wet?

I have a different block this time but same head I have always used. Block is freshly decked. It just seems this stuff doesn't hurt anything to use so I want to try it as I think if it is done correctly, it will only help.

I coat that **** on both sides, basically use half a can on the whole thing, then install it wet. It dries pretty fast anyway. Just make sure you remember which side is up because the letters are impossible to read once you spray that on it.

I used it on a volvo head and it did great. A few layers is recommended.

sprayed mine with the new motor.
32lbs of boost and a 75 shot of nitrous, no leaks as of yet with about 100 pulls/passes on this motor so far.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but needing to use it in the first place usually means something wasn't machined properly.

Had my block decked and my head checked and I still used it for peace of mind. Head gasket seals on Ecotecs seem to be finicky.
