People wanting SS badges...

I have read several posts on here about how people have ordered SS badges but they are apparently on backorder. I ordered mine here in Canada and had it 2 days later. The Woodstock parts plant here in Ontario has 8 SS badges in stock. I have no idea why people in the US cannot get parts from Canada. I order parts that come from the states all the time. For example, I ordered the lower grille and an engine block heater for my SS/SC, granted it took about a week, but they got here just fine. You guys might want to enquire at your dealer if you can get parts from canadian parts plants.

yeah i'm going to the dealer tomorrow and getting a refund. this is ridiculous.

05blackss, if i can't get one on ebay for a reasonable price, if i send you some $$$ can you mail one to me?

Erod 08-30-2005 09:09 AM

And just to head this off now, if you put SS badges on a non-SS you get a automatic ass beating.

Hate mis-badging.

Did like the 91-ish Camaro the other month with in place of the RS emblem, it had Vtec stickers.

Sure I dont see why not. It cost me about 13 bucks canadian for the SS logo. Just go to the dealer and tell them to check the canadian WOODSTOCK parts plant.

Haha, yeah misbadging is ricer to me. If you saw my post, I put the SS on the front Grille, I do have a SS S/C.

Cheers,

Jason

WickedSS2005 08-30-2005 09:15 AM

05BlackSS 08-30-2005 09:21 AM

No no, didn't mean you. Just a general statement. :)

fljohnboy 08-30-2005 09:22 AM

Since my car is a LS and not an SS and this club is a COBALTSS do I get an automatic ass beating for being here?

Erod 08-30-2005 09:24 AM

Only if you put SS badges on it, eh?

fljohnboy 08-30-2005 10:00 AM

Not saying I'm putting SS badges on but in my opinion if I wanted to that's my decision. The previous thread on here a guy is wanting to put a SS spoiler on a non SS car so will he get an automatic ass kickin? There's too much empasis put on stupid stuff like this.

The wing isn't badged. Mis-badging is, as much as I hate the word, r**e.

Think I'll put a GT-R badge on my Civic, it'll get faster.

Yeah thats fine but if you put an SS badge on it you are a retard... your car isnt an SS dont lie about it and look stupid when everyn other car that competes with the real SS toasts you

fljohnboy 08-30-2005 11:00 AM

So if I put a SS wing on, SS bumpers, 18" wheels on and no SS badges then I won't be a retard and I won't get an ass kicken and no one will try and blow my doors off?

05BlackSS 08-30-2005 11:06 AM

IMO, a car usually looks best left in its stock form. Minor chages are cool, but anything radical, forget it.

WickedSS2005 08-30-2005 11:10 AM

This is what I used the badge I ordered. I dislike the Gold badges, and this is similar to the older SS's

lol it appears this is being shot in my direction

I wasn't looking to create a Katrina here. Individuality is the point I was making. If you wanted to paint the star and stripes all over your car and it looks like shit to everyone else but just the coolest thing to you then what's the problem? It gives us all the right to look at the pos and shake our heads. Enough said about this. I'm heading for the garage to paint an SS on my roof. Everyone, have a good day here, I love ya all.

No. I feel that you can do whatever to the exterior except add badging that wasn't there from factory. The SS bumpers and sideskirts.....ok, go for it. Want to put the SS wing on, no problem. But putting the SS badge on it to advertise as an SS.....that my friend is wrong. See this thread........https://www.cobaltss.net/forums//showthread.php?t=5132
