Is your cobalt for Show or Power?
Title says it all, Im interested to know how many people want the Cobalt as a show car to trick out, and how many people are looking to just pull as much power out of it as they can before it explodes.

I like the stock looks, just needs tint and to be lowered. I want at least 300 whp since then the power to weight ration would be around what my old LS1 T/A was.

Power all the way. I'm not opposed to minor appearance things but nothing that's going to take away from performance (18s are the first thing to go). Glad to see some other people are planning on taking their SS/SC to the road courses. Every time I've gone I've had tons of people wanting to take my car out on the track themselves (that's a big "hell no!").

as far as power goes im shootin for 300whp ... after that I wanna possibly work on the handling and suspension just to get rid of some of the roll that the car does have ... as for looks I think I may go for a mild exterior change but nothing remotely fancy ... I wanna get it fast and road course worthy

I'll probably do like I did with my Z. First I did a lot of power mods and then cheap/easy DIY dress up stuff like painting things myself. Then later I'd probably think about some CF parts and maybe a wide body eventually but who knows what way it will really go.
My club is having a race division next season, so it's main purpose first will be performance. Looks I'll mostly be working on secondly.

He also goes to Mid Ohio, some tracks in Michigan, and Canada. I'll have to see what events fit into my schedule.

Braking, slolam, heel-toe and basically what it feels like when you are reaching the limits of your suspension. It's good to build confidence and learn what your car can do. Then you move on to some follow the leader on the track (50-60mph). Then you move on to open track laps. It's going to be a blast.

My cobalt is between the two. Thats why I bought it. I will be making my own custom fiberglass parts and also making my car in the 240-280hp range then call it a day.
Hey Celicacobalt, could you post pics of your cobalt? I want to see want an ss/sc would look like with 2.4ss rims.

I'm going for all-around performance with mine. First things on order were slotted rotors and stage 3 clutch. I'll be happy with around 300 WHP, then I'll start doing some minor dressy things. Mostly just like working on it, so I don't know where I'll stop (if I ever do lol)- big thing I'm NOT gonna do is a change in the aero package, unless somebody can come up with a more effective setup, then I'll consider it.

i want a bit of both. 300-350 at the wheels, blacked out rims, stock exterior, but the pioneer 7 inch in dash touchscreen with nav. thats prolly it. maybe leds inside for a little accent. but I hold the right to change this if I want. justi n case something crazy happens like I win the lottery. cause then it is a trac car only and I'll buy an ezo for daily driver.

Minor appeareance ....I dont what to do about power . I may call it quits after a CAI , exhaust , pcm work/injectors and a smaller pulley . I bought the SS for my nice reliable daily driver while build my twin turbocharged 94 Z . Somehow though , knowing the way I am , the Cobalt is gonna see the same fate as my F-bodies , lol . I originally said no mods at all when I bought it because its camaro money . Oh well , the daily driver has to be fun too

ps. it looks really good and for the ss guys gettting a 17 inch rim would probably net better performance

i am more into show then go however i feel that you can do both and make one sick ass car. i plan on doing performance work but also kitting out the car, getting rims and also doing a stereo and some in car entertainment. if money allows that is.
